Soon after Novotel & HICC Complex was awarded as the “Best Convention Centre” in Telangana State at the National Tourism Awards 2018-19 on September 27, it bagged another recognition, adding another one to its portfolio of accolades.
Accorded the ‘Award for excellence’ under the ‘Best Standalone Convention Centre’ category at Telangana Tourism Awards 2022, Novotel & HICC Complex yet again proved its capability of being at the forefront of revolutionising the MICE landscape in Telangana.
Speaking on the achievement, Manish Dayya, General Manager, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre (NHCC) & Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) expressed that this award speaks for the hotel’s commitment to continuing to be one of the choicest and most sought-after MICE destinations.
“The hotel’s connectivity to Hyderabad International Convention Centre empowers us to take on more opportunities to bring MICE gatherings to our venue, having proved to provide the best in class conferencing facilities,” he added.
In the year 2022, Novotel & HICC Complex was also awarded as an “Iconic Convention Centre” & “Iconic Business Hotel” by the Times Hospitality Icons 2022 as well as was recognised for support and contribution towards a safe & secure ecosystem by Society for Cyberabad Security Council.
Adding to this, Dayya said, “The awards acknowledge and recognise the complex with Hotel and Convention Centre as a world-class, best convention centre enhancing MICE experience through our expertise of hosting huge events. We, therefore, foster a culture of innovation and research in every aspect of our operations and processes to give our guests a superlative experience at our property.”
Speaking of the growth of MICE in India, Dayya noted that the sector is showing growth with corporates returning to their offices and large gatherings making their way back that includes domestic, international, social and exhibitions. Stating that Hyderabad too has emerged as one of the most sought-after MICE destinations, Dayya shared that his hotel is a proud contributor to this growth, offering a ‘combination of connectivity and accommodation with global MICE standard and safety standards at their best’.
“We as HICC are in a constant process of upgrading our MICE offerings to position Hyderabad firmly as one of the preferred destinations for MICE travellers,” Dayya underlined.
NHCC & HICC as popularly known, has hosted large groups of weddings, corporate events and political meetings, further offering a bandwidth to cater to both National and International MICE businesses, as Dayya shares.
This year, the hotel and convention centre hosted Telangana Formation Day and the annual general meeting along with BJP National Executive Meeting which was a 3-day convention with full occupancy at the hotel under the reservation for the event’s delegation.
Looking at the growth graph ahead, Dayya informed that with the business having bounced back stronger as compared to yesteryears, his hotel expects the business to rise to similar or even better than pre-pandemic levels. “The last quarter of this year will see some good percentage of the international segment coming back and corporate, national and weddings will continue to have a strong presence,” he added.
“The hotel is also very keen on exploring the growing Outdoor Catering opportunity to strengthen its footprints in the Food & Beverage industry. Annual events and national conferences are returning with queries and dates and we are already experiencing a bounce back of our regular guests and conferences for 2023,” he shared with an optimistic outlook.
