New Delhi: Value fashion retail chain, Citykart has appointed ex-Walmart senior VP, Ritesh Rathi as its president and chief operating officer (COO), it said in a press release on Tuesday.
“Ritesh’s in-depth understanding of retail and wholesale businesses in India and international markets will enable him to steer our business towards sustainable growth in the long run. Besides, his cross-functional exposure will make him a valuable asset to the team,” said Sudhanshu Agarwal, founder and CEO, Citykart.
Rathi comes with over 20 years of experience in retail, manufacturing, banking, and financial services. In his last role, he served as a senior VP at Walmart India.
Established in 2015, Citykart sells affordable fashion wear for men, women, kids, footwear, and accessories along with home furnishing, general merchandise, toys, and other utility items.
The company claims to have a strong presence in tier 2, 3, and 4 cities. It has over 93 stores across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, North East, Odisha, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
