Budget carrier Akasa Air has announced new routes from Ahmedabad, connecting the city with Lucknow, Goa and Hyderabad. Effective March 15, the airline will connect Ahmedabad with double daily non-stop return flights to Hyderabad as well as conveniently timed flights to Goa’s New Manohar International Airport with double daily flights.
Earlier, starting March 7, Akasa Air had enhanced connectivity from Ahmedabad to Mumbai and Lucknow with a seamless through flight (no change of aircraft) in both directions.
Into its seventh month of operations, Akasa Air has steadily ramped up its operations strengthening its network. The airline now offers 12 departures daily, connecting Ahmedabad to five other major cities namely Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Goa, with direct daily flights.
The airline has achieved unprecedented growth inducting 18 aircraft, carries over 1 million revenue passengers. It also crossed the milestone of 100 daily flights across 14 destinations in India.
“Ahmedabad has a special connection with Akasa Air as it was the first destination on our network, with our maiden commercial flight landing in Ahmedabad on August 7, 2022,” said Praveen Iyer Co-Founder, and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa Air.

Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has carried over 1 million revenue passengers and crossed the milestone of operating over 700 weekly connecting 14 cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Visakhapatnam, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, and Varanasi, the airline informed.
